Can you capture someone in a single frame?

Portraits are a snapshot of who someone is in that moment. Sometimes it’s in the way they hold themselves, sometimes it’s a look in their eyes, or even the split second before a smile breaks. My goal is to capture someone’s spirit and do it in a way that catches your eye. This collection is a showcase of some of the people I’ve met, in different places, moods, and lights.

 

Background

I first got into portraits because of my friend Jaymes, known in photography circles as J.mos. He showed me the ropes and let me experiment with his gear. When I finally acquired my own equipment and felt comfortable behind the camera I looked for people the collaborate with. One shoot let to another, and pretty soon I had a mix of projects with different people, styles, and looks. This collection brings them together.
